Mark Esper

27th U.S. Secretary of Defense

Mark Esper served as the 27th U.S. Secretary of Defense from 2019 to 2020 and as the 23rd Secretary of the Army from 2017 to 2019. A West Point graduate, he served as an infantry officer with the 101st Airborne Division in the Gulf War, and later held senior roles at the Heritage Foundation, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and Raytheon.

Gen. Gary Britto (Ret.)

Former Commanding General, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command

General Gary Britto commanded U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command from September 2022 to September 2025, after serving as the Army's Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1, from July 2020 to August 2022. He was the first African American of Cape Verdean descent to command Fort Benning.
